Terms of use

Wren & Quill, operated by Grant Reinhart, provides tools for creating, documenting, collaborating on, and publishing worldbuilding projects across Dictionary, Atlas, Encyclopedia, Ecology and Timeline.
Your content
You retain ownership of the original worldbuilding content you create. By saving content in the app, you permit the service to store and display it to you and the collaborators you choose. Publishing a version makes that version publicly readable. Publication does not itself grant others an additional license to your original content.
Accounts and collaboration
Keep your account and sign-in methods secure. Invite only people you want to edit a project. Editors can change its private draft; its owner controls collaborator access and public releases. Staff maintain the app's shared linguistic reference library independently of project membership.
Using the service
Use the app only for content you have the right to store and share. Do not use it to infringe others' rights, obtain unauthorized access, or disrupt the service. Linguistic transformations and generated words are creative tools; review their results before relying on them.
Availability and copies
The app may change and may be unavailable during maintenance or interruptions. Export important projects and retain your own copies. Unpublishing a release cannot retrieve copies previously downloaded by others. JSON exports may reference uploaded images rather than embed their files. Retain image originals for your own complete copies. Offline indicators mean cloud changes remain unsaved; browser recovery is limited to the current tab and available browser storage.
Privacy and support
The privacy policy explains account data, storage, and sharing. Contact grant.p.reinhart@gmail.com for service questions or account-data requests. The support page provides authenticated account deletion requests and recovery guidance.
